Setup is short by design: sign in, add your number, link the device, then spend two minutes teaching it what deserves your attention. Keep the phone with WhatsApp installed nearby, because you will need it to approve the link.
1. Sign in
Open the KKHS Assist dashboard and sign in with Google. Your assistant runs on its own isolated server that only you reach, over WhatsApp.
2. Add your WhatsApp number
Enter the number you want the assistant to live on. It will live in that number's self-chat — nothing is added to your contacts.
3. Link the device
Two ways, pick whichever is less awkward where you are sitting:
- Scan a QR code — on your phone, WhatsApp → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device, then point the camera at the dashboard.
- Use a pairing code — the dashboard shows an 8-character code; on your phone choose "Link with phone number instead" and enter it.
4. Say hi
Your private server takes about thirty seconds to come up. Then open your self-chat and start talking. It asks a few questions one at a time, like texting a person rather than filling in a form: your name, your timezone (it guesses from your number, you confirm), what it should always flag and what it should never bother you about, and optionally your Google account for calendar and contacts.
The one question worth answering properly
"What deserves your attention" is the answer that shapes every digest you get from day one. A rambling voice note is fine — better, in fact, than three careful words. Say who is important, what topics are non-negotiable, and which groups you never want to hear about.
None of it is locked in. Everything the assistant learns stays readable and editable on the Skills page, and you can change how much freedom it has any time from Permissions.
